Cataloochee Cookout with Kelly Morris

An ode to the many memories made on this mountain, Cataloochee Cookouts celebrate the history and provide the setting for an authentic ranch feast. Please join us on Wednesdays from 5 to 8 p.m. and enjoy delicious, locally sourced BBQ favorites and live music.

This week’s music is performed by Kelly Morris, a seasoned musician who has been captivating audiences since his teenage years. With a voice reminiscent of the iconic Jeff Buckley, Morris brings a hauntingly beautiful quality to his performances that leaves a lasting impression on all who listen.

Pie In The Sky - Pizza Crafting Experience

Join us for a hands-on wood-fired pizza cooking class, where you’ll learn the art of crafting artisan pizzas from scratch. Set in our outdoor kitchen with panoramic mountain views, you’ll knead fresh dough and master the perfect bake in our wood-fired oven. Whether you’re a seasoned home chef or a total beginner, this intimate class blends gourmet technique with down-to-earth charm.

Tales from the Ranch

Local Historian, Author and Storyteller Bob Plott shares his unique knowledge of our own local legends. He is  a 2016 winner of the prestigious Order of the Long Leaf Pine Award, and has written six award winning books—all published by the History Press – celebrating the history of the Plott Hound breed and southern mountain culture, along with writing scores of magazine articles.

Appalachian Breadmaking Class

Guided by our Executive Pastry Chef, Hannah Patel, you’ll learn time-honored techniques for crafting rustic Appalachian loaves—from nurturing a wild starter to shaping and baking your own golden-crusted bread. This immersive experience connects you to generations of Appalachian heritage, one warm, fragrant loaf at a time.

Sommelier's Secrets: Harvest Wines for the Holiday Table

Join our Wine Director and Advanced Sommelier Cara De Lavallade and taste the flavors of the harvest! Kick off the holiday season by discovering the perfect wines to elevate your holiday celebrations with this curated selection of seasonal favorites, including the delightful and versatile Beaujolais. We will explore the history of the region, and showcase the Beaujolais Nouveau Day traditions which pay tribute to the first wines of the season.

Friends of James Beard Supper

We are thrilled to host this supper for the James Beard Foundation and invite you to join us for an evening of delicious cuisine, perfectly paired wines, live music, and the company of great friends and neighbors. Enjoy each chef of Cataloochee Ranch’s signature dish, and adventurous wine (or non-alcoholic) pairing by our Level 3 Sommelier & Wine Director, Cara De Lavallade. This will be a night to remember that not only pleases the tastebuds, but benefits the ongoing support, education, and opportunities of chefs and culinary professionals through the distinguished James Beard Foundation.

New Year's Eve Dinner

Join us for a memorable evening of connection and cuisine as we gather for an exquisite prix fixe five-course dinner on the final night of the year. Live music will be performed by Brian Ashley Jones from 6 to 10 p.m. Celebrate with friends, family, and community at our mountain table — surrounded by the beauty of the Smokies and the warmth of Cataloochee hospitality.

Wine parings and non-alcoholic pairings are additionally available for a more elevated experience.

Kids Movie Night
