Summer Supper Series - Chef Michael Toscano

Born in Houston, Chef Michael traded professional golf for a culinary career, training at Pinehurst Resort. He honed his skills in NYC at Bouchon, Babbo, and Manzo, then opened the acclaimed Perla. Now in Charleston, he runs Le Farfalle and da Toscano, enjoying family, golf, and coaching.

Join us for a Prix Fixe tasting menu, accompanied by wine pairings from our acclaimed cellar.

Cookie Making Class

Enjoy a customized cookie making class with our Executive Pastry Chef, Angie Chan. Together, we’ll make our beloved Cataloochee Ranch brown butter chocolate chip cookies, little Madelines and French Macarons. After sampling a few, you’ll be able to take home an assorted box of cookies you made!

Sommelier's Secrets: Pinot Noir

On International Pinot Noir Day, join Advanced Sommelier, Cara De Lavallade, as she shares the secrets of the romantic & delicate Pinot Noir varietal. Taste, learn and enjoy the company of fellow enthusiasts. Chef Angie’s cheese & charcuterie is included for a light bite. Bottles will be available for exclusive purchase.

Fire on the Mountain with Chef Santiago Guzzetti

Join us for an exciting outdoor, open-fire dining experience at Todd’s Folley, a beautiful spot on Cataloochee Ranch’s mountainside. Chef Santiago of Ilda, in Sylva, NC, will join Chefs Ben Maxham and Chris Bankes from our wonderful culinary team to prepare a mouthwatering meal you won’t soon forget.

As this is an outdoor event, and away from The Ranch House, proper attire is recommended. Transportation to the site will be provided by our team, departing from The Ranch House after a brief reception.

How to Drink Australian Wine Dinner

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we bring the Outback to Appalachia at Cataloochee Ranch! Meet Jane Lopes, Master Sommelier and owner of Legend Wines, an importer of top Australian wineries. Learn about her journey, the stories behind the wines, and what makes Australia an incredible place for viticulture. Executive Chef Jeb Aldrich and his team will prepare an exciting five-course meal to enjoy alongside the wines.

Join our Wine Director & Advanced Sommelier Cara De Lavallade and taste the flavors of the harvest! Kick off the holiday season by discovering the perfect wines to elevate your holiday celebrations with this curated selection of seasonal favorites, including the delightful and versatile Beaujolais. We will explore the history of the region, and showcase the Beaujolais Nouveau Day traditions which pay tribute to the first wines of the season. Learn how to pair these delightful wines with seasonal dishes, ensuring a memorable and delicious holiday experience for your and your guests.
