Botanist & Barrel is the South’s first natural cidery and winery, located in Asheville and Cedar Grove, NC. Focused on spontaneous and wild cultures, Botanist & Barrel crafts real Southern ciders, fruited sours, and wines, by way of light-handed winemaking that intertwines old-world methods with modern sensibilities. Enjoy a delicious family style lunch in our Pasture while enjoying a discussion and musical performance by William Ritter – a seasoned old-time fiddler, seed-saver, and ballad singer from the mountains of Mitchell County, North Carolina. Deeply passionate about preserving and sharing the rich cultural heritage of his region, William weaves together stories, songs, and seeds, believing that these old ways hold the key to building resilient communities.
