Après Ski Mocktail Class

Cozy up at Cataloochee Ranch after a morning of skiing. Join us in the Tack Room while our bartenders teach you mixing methods for our winter inspired mocktails that are sure to warm you on a chilly day. Choose from mulled ciders, espresso based, or tea infused cocktails that our talented mixologist will help you create. You’ll be sent home with ingredients and recipes to inspire you!

Sommelier's Secrets – Wines from Spain

Join our Wine Director & Advanced Sommelier Cara De Lavallade to explore wines from Spain. Learn about the history and art of wine from the Rioja, Galicia, and Canary Island regions. Take this journey with her and enjoy wine, mountain air, and snacks curated by the team at Cataloochee Ranch.

Chocolate Truffle Workshop

Join us for a delicious & decadent demonstration with our Executive Pastry Chef, Angie Chan. Learn how to hand-make your own truffles just in time for Valentine’s Day! Angie will demonstrate chocolate tempering and truffle decorating. After the class you will have a box of 12 truffles to take home and the knowledge to make more.

Après Ski Cocktail Class

After a morning of skiing, warm up by the fire in the Tack Room while our bartenders share their techniques to creating a great tasting cocktail. This immersive class will dive into the art of creating classic cocktails, with a modern “Ranch” twist that showcases techniques such as shaking, stirring, muddling, and layering, local, and seasonal ingredient selection and incorporation. And, of course, tasting your incredible creations.  It’s the perfect end to a day on the slopes, or an adventurous class to enjoy before dinner.

Sommelier’s Secrets: Chocolate and Wine Pairing

Does a more delicious duo exist? Chef Angie’s homemade chocolates, truffles, and treats are paired perfectly with wines from the most romantic regions. This love story comes to life at Cataloochee Ranch…will you join us for a taste?

To make the day even sweeter, we’ll be sending guests home with some chocolate treats. It’s the perfect way to end a memorable afternoon.
